Built in 2001, Highway 250 Campground offers a relaxed, family-oriented camping experience. Located on the northeast edge of
Lanesboro, perfectly nestled between
the Root River and the Root River Trail System, this is the ideal
location to take in the activities of Historic Lanesboro and the Bluff
Country region. Currently the campground consists of 98 large sites
with water and electricity, 30- and 50-amp service, dump station, a
centrally-located bath house, fire rings, and picnic tables; 62 sites
have sewer hook-up; basketball & disc golf.
Just 4 blocks from historic, downtown Lanesboro.
For biking, the popular
Root River State Trail runs adjacent to the campground, stretching 30
miles each direction. Other activities include horseshoes, volleyball,
fishing, tubing, and canoeing.
Tube, canoe, and Kayak rentals with shuttle
service are available on site.
